We were lucky to host Paul for a few days whilst in Australia to work with our Wildlife Detection teams. We enjoyed some problem-solving, tweaking of current projects, and planning for an upcoming project where Paul provided helpful insights from his wealth of experience. The Australasian Conservation Dog Network hosted Paul for both his General Detection and Buried Odour workshops in 2025. Paul is a great communicator, both in preparation and when delivering the workshops.

And I hope to continue my K9 handler education with him.

Working with Paul at Chiron K9 has been nothing short of amazing. I came to him with some very specific issues related to my detection dog, and his expertise was immediately evident. One major challenge we faced was my dog’s tendency to touch or retrieve the source he was trained to detect — something that’s instinctual for a retriever but not ideal for our line of work. Paul helped us correct this behavior with clarity and precision.
Beyond that, Paul introduced us to skills I didn’t even realize were vital: directionals, emergency stops, and emergency recalls. These are now essential tools in our work, and the way he taught them was so effective, so streamlined, and so easy to grasp — it honestly surprised me. His teaching style is direct, clear, and incredibly effective.

I recently attended a seminar of Paul’s (Canine Principles Conference 2019) and found it to be both enlightening and very funny. Paul obviously loves his work and his enthusiasm for his subject comes across in his talks.

I had the pleasure of attending Pauls Bunkers persentation at a recent conference. It was hugely Interesting and informative. It has inspired me to want to learn more about scent work for use in training pet dogs .

I attended a conference where Paul Bunker was presenting. I found it extremely informative and gained so much knowledge and inspiration. I highly recommend attending any presentation he is apart off.
